Variations and re-quotes

Most changes keep the customer’s link and add a version. A signed job is never redrafted: its change is a variation, a new proposal linked to the signed one.

WHERE TO FIND IT
The buttons on a proposal’s card in My proposals. Straight after generating, the same actions are under Afterwards in the price rail.

Fix a typo: Edit details

  1. Press Edit details on the card.
  2. Correct the name, phone, address or email. An owner or Support can change the consultant here too.
  3. Press Save details.

No new AI draft is made. Not yet sent, it’s saved as the next version with nothing to send again. Already sent, it’s saved as a new version you send again, and the customer keeps the copy they have until you do. Only a changed address can move the price, and you’re asked before it saves at the new one.

Re-quote: Refine

  1. Press Refine on the card (or Refine as a new version in the rail). The form fills with that proposal: the customer, the system, any discount and the roof layout.
  2. Change what you need.
  3. Generate. It’s the same customer link, as the next version.
  4. Send it again with Resend or WhatsApp.

Until you send the new version, a customer who already had the proposal sees the copy they were sent, marked as being updated, and can’t sign it. Copy link on a sent proposal only copies the link; it doesn’t issue the new version. A refined version to the same customer doesn’t use another prepaid proposal.

Refine is also how you renew a proposal whose price has lapsed or moved.

When the customer picks an option

If the customer presses I’d like this one on Option B, Jouli re-prices and emails them the new version itself. If it can’t (the price moved, or the job is signed or withdrawn), the consultant is emailed instead.

Same system, new customer: Duplicate

Press Duplicate on the card, or Duplicate for another customer in the rail. It copies the system setup, not the customer’s details, bills, discount, roof layout, extras or story. Fill in the new customer and generate.

Withdraw it: Void

Press Void on the card in My proposals, or Void this proposal in the rail. The customer’s link stops working at once, and the page tells them to call you for the current one. This can’t be undone. A signed proposal can’t be voided: call the customer to agree a change, then make a variation.

After signing: Variation

  1. On a signed proposal’s card, press Variation. Only an owner or Support sees it.
  2. The form fills with the signed job as a new proposal for the same customer, with its own link.
  3. Change what the inspection changed, generate, and send it.

The variation takes the signed job’s network application and meter numbers, and its battery site plan, with it. The signed proposal stays the contract, billed and counted as before, until the customer signs the variation. Then it is marked as replaced and its page points to the new one.

Record what happened

On a signed job, press Outcome and choose Installed, On hold, Cancelled or Refunded. Add the Installed on date, the inverter and battery serials and a note, then press Save outcome. Only an owner or Support can record a cancellation or a refund.
